简介Biography
方媛（1996年生于中国深圳）是一名生活并工作于纽约的艺术家。她于2019年获纽约视觉艺术学院的视觉与批判研究学士学位，并获得罗德家族最高杰出成就奖和多项奖学金；2022年于同校取得纯艺术硕士学位。她的作品曾在中国和美国展出。方媛的绘画实践始于一种对外界环境的自我抽离。成长并生活于高速发展的都市使她持续性地感到周围环境投射给自己的焦虑与不安，对她而言，变化是一种真实而生动的可触碰的物理经验。她的创作凝聚了对永恒这一概念的探求，即捕寻处于无尽与所谓尘世之间的幻象。她让不同层次的空间彼此交融，构建层叠并行着的不可能的空间，凝视着三维空间中模棱两可的形体如何在平面上渲染，以及那些无形但显然存在并依附于彼此的关系之间的交织。
