贺勋

He Xun, born in Jiangxi in 1984, graduated from the Art Education Department of China Academy of Art in 2006, and currently works and lives in Hangzhou and Beijing. He is an artist, poet, and a member of the curatorial group of Jiejue Society (孑孓社). His practice spans painting, poetry, and curating, focusing on the symbolic functions of agricultural civilization, shamanistic beliefs, and literary conventions in everyday objects. He particularly attends to the impact of neglected or repressed languages, folk customs, and totemic systems on contemporary life, seeking through them universal emotional connections, enduring memories, and their processes of decay.

His works have been exhibited at institutions including Loach Art Museum, Imagokinetics Lab, Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts, Guangdong Times Museum, Guangdong Museum of Art, A4 Art Museum in Chengdu, Sound Art Museum, Castello Di Rivara Contemporary Art Museum, Enshitsu in Japan, Cáceres Museum in Italy, and the National Museum of Tanzania. Public collections include Star Museum, German-Chinese Art Foundation, and Yang Feng Art and Education Foundation.

His poems and essays have appeared in publications such as *West Lake*, *Enclave*, *Poetry Jiangnan*, *Best Chinese Poetry 2006*, *Art World*, and *Art Fragment*. He is the author of the poetry collection *One Bird and Another Bird* (2024).

His curatorial projects include "Go Sketching" at the Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts and "Suture: Selected Poems of Contemporary Art Practitioners" at UCCA Store in Beijing.
