简介Biography
邵捷（Jie SHAO），1994年出生于中国浙江省余姚，现生活和工作于中国上海和美国纽约，任职于美国纽约普瑞特艺术学院。他于2016年本科毕业于中国美术学院跨媒体艺术学院，2020年硕士毕业于美国帕森斯设计学院纯艺术专业。邵捷关注人类与地方的关系，认为从空间到地方，外在世界对不同主体产生不同的经历，地方被感性地建立在人类经验中。其作品涉及装置和录像，通过一系列持续性的地方项目，探索人类经验中不同地方带来的可能性。
Jie SHAO, born in 1994 in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, China, currently lives and works in Shanghai, China and New York, USA, and works at Pratt Institute in New York, USA. He graduated with a BFA from the School of Intermedia Art, China Academy of Art in 2016, and an MFA in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design, USA in 2020. Jie SHAO focuses on the relationship between humans and place, positing that from space to place, the external world engenders different experiences for different subjects, and place is emotionally grounded in human experience. His works encompass installation and video, and through a series of ongoing place-based projects, he explores the possibilities brought by different places within human experience.

Based on the artist archive, Jie SHAO’s practice centers on the relationship between humans and place.
