Mu Lintong, born in 1984 in Zibo, Shandong, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2006. He is currently a professional artist, primarily engaged in painting, sculpture, and poetry, and lives and works in Beijing. As a representative of China’s new generation of artists, he found his own artistic language early and pursued in-depth exploration, his works presenting a lucid personal style suffused with childlike innocence and poetry. Driven by an innate longing for beautiful things, he taps into a greater resource in contemporary art—not a desire for artistic form, but fidelity to one’s inner self, safeguarding the innocence and poetry of the soul. Important solo exhibitions include: 2008 “Fantasy & Happiness”, 2009 “My Loneliness Is a Garden”, 2011 “Stars Everywhere”, 2015 “Records of Four Seasons”, 2019 “Reading Paintings and Poems”, all held at Hi Art Center (Beijing).
