简介Biography

Mu Lintong, born in 1984 in Zibo, Shandong, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2006. He is currently a professional artist, primarily engaged in painting, sculpture, and poetry, and lives and works in Beijing. As a representative of China’s new generation of artists, he found his own artistic language early and pursued in-depth exploration, his works presenting a lucid personal style suffused with childlike innocence and poetry. Driven by an innate longing for beautiful things, he taps into a greater resource in contemporary art—not a desire for artistic form, but fidelity to one’s inner self, safeguarding the innocence and poetry of the soul. Important solo exhibitions include: 2008 “Fantasy & Happiness”, 2009 “My Loneliness Is a Garden”, 2011 “Stars Everywhere”, 2015 “Records of Four Seasons”, 2019 “Reading Paintings and Poems”, all held at Hi Art Center (Beijing). His group exhibition experience is extensive, including 2006 “Superheroes – Guangdong New Art Force Joint Exhibition” (Ruyi Gallery, Guangzhou), 2007 “Pagoda of Sand – 2007 Chinese New Painting Prize” (Yanhuang Art Museum, Beijing), 2008 “Beautiful South” (Asia Art Center, Beijing) and “Out of Home” (INSA Gallery, Seoul), 2009 “One Cubic Meter” (Shangbao Art Museum, Songzhuang, Beijing), 2010 “Get Out of the Way! Today We Post-80s – Time Tunnel” (Yulan Tang, Beijing), 2011 “Walk as Well” (Ren Art Center, Beijing), 2013 “Reversal of Fundamental Tone – Voices of 100 Artists” (Beijing Contemporary Tang Art Center, First Space), 2014 “10th Anniversary Invitational Exhibition of the Chinese New Painting Prize” (Hi Art Center, Beijing), 2016 “Allegory” (Triumph Art Space, Beijing), 2017 “Black Bridge Generation” (Hi Art Center, Beijing), 2021 “New Wave Beta” (Mouart, Beijing), 2022 “The Rise of New Painting – A List of Post-80s Artists” and “Eliot of Xiawutun – Yulantang Summer Exhibition” (both at Hi Art Center, Beijing). In terms of awards, he received the “Pagoda of Sand – 2007 Chinese New Painting Prize” in 2007.
