He states, “Romantic narratives temporarily recede, but private emotions toward the world and the self still persist.” His “Lines” series marks an in-depth exploration into the possibilities of the subconscious; he likens the act of drawing lines to meditation and hypnosis, regarding the alternating tones and densities as akin to the interwoven black-and-white fragments of life experiences.
