简介Biography
王千一（None_Wang Qian Yi），1993年出生于济南，分别于2017年、2020年获得清华大学美术学院雕塑系学士及硕士学位，现工作、生活于北京。其近年来的创作从关注身边不经意瞥见的东西，如建筑废料、不明金属物、散步时在街边拾得的“现成物（Found Object）”等，逐渐回归到对“物（das Ding）”这一概念本身的思考与讨论。在他看来，这些物不确定也没有身份，是消失的附近性，是寒冬里的无产者，也是被抛入荒原的祭祀品。作为一名受过良好雕塑训练的艺术家，王千一对有重量的实体有着敏锐的觉察力，并在实践中强调直觉的重要性，以及对物之形态、体量和质感的准确表达。
Wang Qianyi (b. 1993, Jinan) received his BFA and MFA from the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University in 2017 and 2020, respectively. He currently lives and works in Beijing. In recent years, his practice has shifted from an attention to things inadvertently glimpsed in the everyday—such as construction debris, unidentified metal objects, and “found objects” picked up during walks on the street—to a reflection on and engagement with the concept of “the thing” (das Ding) itself. In his view, these things are indeterminate and without identity; they are the disappearing nearby, the proletariat in the harsh winter, and sacrificial offerings cast into the wilderness. As an artist with rigorous training in sculpture, Wang Qianyi possesses a keen sensitivity to weighty substance, and in his practice he emphasizes the importance of intuition and the precise expression of form, volume, and texture of things.
