简介Biography
王曦娅（b.1999）2024年硕士毕业于伦敦大学学院斯莱德美术学院，现生活工作于上海。她以摄影、动态影像和多媒体装置为创作媒介，聚焦凝视、缺席、权力、空间、游荡、幽灵学及其与历史文化叙事之间的关联。她的大部分工作关乎那些不存在之物——或说那些被赋予形状、表面与重量的东西。她将“影像”视为一种低存在感策略，一种心理性延迟显现的空间，探讨影像作为象征空间中凝视的代理如何抵达特定的虚无舞台。
Wang Xiya (b. 1999) earned her master’s degree from the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London in 2024, and currently lives and works in Shanghai. She works with photography, moving image, and multimedia installation, focusing on the gaze, absence, power, space, wandering, hauntology, and their interconnections with historical and cultural narratives. Much of her work concerns things that do not exist—or rather, things that have been given shape, surface, and weight. She regards “image” as a low-presence strategy, a space of psychological deferred manifestation, exploring how the image, as a proxy for the gaze within symbolic space, arrives at a specific stage of nothingness.
