王悠，1988年出生于哈尔滨，成长于深圳，2009年毕业于上海戏剧学院，现工作和生活在北京。她的创作灵感主要来源于日常生活，善于观察生活中的人和物，以类似电影蒙太奇的手法即兴描绘和重塑现实中的形象。这些形象极具表现力，记录了当下复杂的人类情感；她并非真实再现某一形象或场景，而是邀请不同时空的人或物共同分享同一时空的情绪。她的画布上常有如随机性的留白，打破视觉常规，创作方式俏皮活泼。作品色彩鲜明，充满活力，描绘游走于具象和抽象之间，夹杂着奇幻的想象和叙事，情节令人困惑又令人神往。
Wang You, born in Harbin in 1988, grew up in Shenzhen, graduated from the Shanghai Theatre Academy in 2009, and currently lives and works in Beijing. Her creative inspiration mainly derives from everyday life, as she is skilled at observing people and objects around her, improvising depictions and reshaping reality’s images in a manner akin to cinematic montage. These images are highly expressive, recording the complex human emotions of the present moment; rather than faithfully reproducing a particular image or scene, she invites people or objects from different times and spaces to share an emotional space in the same time and place. Her canvases often feature seemingly random areas of negative space, breaking with visual conventions, while her approach to making is playful and lively. The works are brightly colored and full of vitality, depicting a terrain that moves between figuration and abstraction, interwoven with fantastical imagination and narrative, yielding plots that are both perplexing and captivating.
