简介Biography
韦宗尧（Wei Zong Yao）1983年出生于沈阳，2009年获鲁迅美术学院油画系硕士学位。他曾参与2012年法国艺术城艺术家驻地项目和2013年美国阿尔弗莱德大学艺术家驻地项目，现工作生活于北京。韦宗尧多次在国内外著名美术馆和艺术空间举办个展和联展，包括日本东京泰明画廊和京都三条祗园画廊、中国美术馆、长江当代美术馆、尧山艺术基金会、关山月美术馆、今日美术馆和保利香港艺术空间等。
Wei Zong Yao (b. 1983, Shenyang) earned his MFA from the Oil Painting Department of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 2009. He participated in artist residency programmes at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2012 and at Alfred University in the United States in 2013, and currently lives and works in Beijing. Wei Zong Yao has presented solo and group exhibitions at numerous prominent museums and art spaces in China and abroad, including Taiming Gallery in Tokyo and Sanjo Gion Gallery in Kyoto, the National Art Museum of China, Changjiang Museum of Contemporary Art, Yaoshan Art Foundation, Guan Shanyue Art Museum, Today Art Museum, and Poly Hong Kong Art Space.
