简介Biography
夏乔伊（Xia Qiao Yi），当代艺术家。2021年，他参加了由艺术家李燎与空白空间共同主办的“李氏家宅鸿运展”。该展览始于2020年，由李燎化身为主办机构及项目召集人，邀请风水师担任“风水策展人”、艺术家接受委任创作。本次展览巡回至北京的空白空间举行，将李氏家宅的基本格局、样貌、方位以1:1的尺度还原至展厅现场，并邀请了有别于前两回的“风水策展人”与艺术家加入。在展览中，“风水术”和“当代艺术”两个看似互无关联的规矩与方圆，在命定条件下相交，框画、构筑起一片彼此牵制且更为复杂的“风水-艺术”场域。夏乔伊根据风水策展人提供的规则和要求，在给定的房间、方位乃至媒材等条件下进行创作。2023年，他参加了蜂巢当代艺术中心举办的群展“肌体的编织”，该展览于2025年6月13日在蜂巢上海空间推出，由于非策划，聚焦十位青年亚裔艺术家，展示了包含绘画、织物、雕塑、装置等媒介在内的最近创作实践。
Xia Qiao Yi is a contemporary artist.
In 2021, he participated in the "Li Family Residence Fortune Exhibition" (Li Shi Jia Zhai Hong Yun Zhan), co-organized by artist Li Liao and White Space. The exhibition, which began in 2020, was initiated by Li Liao, who acted as the organizing body and project convener, inviting a feng shui master to serve as the "feng shui curator" and artists to create commissioned works. This iteration of the exhibition traveled to White Space in Beijing, where the basic layout, appearance, and orientation of the Li family residence were recreated at a 1:1 scale within the gallery space. A different "feng shui curator" and artists from the previous two editions were invited to participate. In the exhibition, the seemingly unrelated paradigms of "feng shui" and "contemporary art" intersected under destined conditions, framing and constructing a mutually constraining and more complex "feng shui-art" field. Xia Qiao Yi created his work according to the rules and requirements provided by the feng shui curator, within the given conditions of room, orientation, and even materials.
In 2023, he participated in the group exhibition "Weaving the Body" at Hive Center for Contemporary Art. The exhibition was launched at Hive Shanghai on June 13, 2025, curated by Yu Fei, and focused on ten young Asian artists, presenting recent works in media including painting, textiles, sculpture, and installation.
