熊宇
简介Biography

Xiong Yu, born in 1975 in Chengdu, Sichuan, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with a bachelor’s degree in 1999 and a master’s degree from the same department in 2002. He currently teaches at the Art College of Sichuan University and serves as director of the Art Museum of Sichuan University, head of the Painting Department at the Art College of Sichuan University, and master’s degree supervisor. His painting background combines classical characteristics with influences from comics and electronic culture, constructing a personal artistic language through surrealism and virtual worlds. He is dedicated to contemporary art creation, museum development, exhibition curation, interdisciplinary art research, and art education practice. He has participated extensively in academic activities both domestically and internationally, undertaking art creation, exhibitions, residencies, and lectures across Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania.
