简介Biography
姚朋（1984年生于中国吉林），2008年毕业于四川美术学院油画专业获学士学位，2012年毕业于同校油画专业获硕士学位，现生活工作于重庆。他性情温润而内敛，深度迷恋时间，在创作中始终坚韧地试图建立起一种文学观，依次穿越时间所覆盖和对应的历史图景与现实坐标。重要个展包括2014年上海对照艺术空间的“赐我一个偶像”和2013年北京现在画廊的“献给生者与死者”。群展经历丰富，如2013年“万有引力”成都双年展、2012年罗中立奖学金（获奖）及何香凝美术馆“弥散的主体”等。作品被王华祥美术馆、澳大利亚白兔美术馆及何香凝美术馆收藏。
Born in 1984 in Jilin. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department at the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts with Bachelor's and Master's degree in 2008 and 2012. Currently lives and works in Beijing. His works have been exhibited at institutions including the White Rabbit Art Museum, Zhi Art Museum, He Xiangning Art Museum, Yuan Museum, etc.

Yao Peng (born 1984 in Jilin, China) is an experimental conceptual artist whose practice spans video, collage, photography, mixed-media installation, and – increasingly in recent years – oil on canvas. His creative style is profoundly shaped by a fascination with time and a persistent effort to construct a literary vision that cuts across the historical landscapes and contemporary coordinates covered by temporal layers. Introspective and restrained, his work frequently engages with themes of memory and time, death, identity, social commentary, and the body, often evoking a sense of elegiac narrative.
In his earlier career, Yao Peng built important sculptural and video-based installations. Notable solo exhibitions such as *Bestow Me an Idol* (Shanghai Duìzhào Art Space, 2014) and *For the Living and the Dead* (Beijing Now Gallery, 2013) established his reputation for poetic conceptualism.
