袁运生（1937年4月生于江苏南通），擅长油画。任教于中央美术学院，曾任教授、博士生导师、院学术委员会副主任及油画系第四画室主任，获国家特殊贡献教授荣誉。其代表作品包括首都机场壁画《泼水节》，以及油画《水乡的记忆》、《眼睛》、《追——末班车》等。部分作品被国内外博物馆收藏。出版有《云南白描写生集》、《运生素描》、《袁运生素描集》及《袁运生画集》。
Yuan Yunsheng (born April 1937 in Nantong, Jiangsu) specializes in oil painting. He teaches at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, where he has served as professor, doctoral supervisor, deputy director of the Academy’s Academic Committee, and director of the Fourth Studio of the Oil Painting Department, and has been honored as a National Professor of Special Contribution. His representative works include the mural *Water-Splashing Festival* at the Capital Airport, as well as oil paintings such as *Memory of a Water Town*, *Eyes*, and *Chase – The Last Bus*. Some of his works are held in museum collections in China and abroad. He has published *Yunnan Line Drawing Sketch Collection*, *Yunsheng Sketches*, *Yuan Yunsheng Sketch Collection*, and *Yuan Yunsheng Painting Collection*.
