Zhang Qingzhu is a Chinese contemporary artist. His works were included in the 2025 group exhibition “Lilliputian Utopia — Case Studies of Chinese New Painting (IV)” held at Yousheng Space (又生空间), which drew on the imagery of Lilliput from Gulliver’s Travels to explore how artists construct their own ideal realms through miniature-scale works. In the same year, his works also participated in the large-scale group exhibition “Seeing the Small, Knowing the Great” at Hong Art Museum, an exhibition nearly a year in preparation that focused on figurative painters born after 1980, required works no larger than 60 centimeters in both length and width, and emphasized meticulous creative language and artistic expressiveness within a compact format.
