简介Biography
张弱（本名张强），1982年生于河北省邯郸，2006年毕业于河北师范大学艺术设计学院雕塑系。2011年在北京成立森林工作室，2017年至今旅居德国柏林。其创作以雕塑为主，作品曾多次参加国内外展览，包括2010年广东美术馆的《第二届动漫美学双年展》、北京798艺术区表画廊的《穿越》双人展、白盒子美术馆的《生产力：复制时代的中国》，以及日本横滨的《第36届AJAC海外艺术家邀请展览》；2011年参展台湾现代画廊的《下一站：新世代》和北京环铁时代美术馆的《在奇点》；2012年参展香港少励画廊的《牛逼》及香港国际艺术展；2013年参展北京环铁时代美术馆的《无是无非》和上海当代艺术博物馆的《上海艺术设计展城市美学——形而上下》；2014年参展Hi艺术中心的《2014 Hi21新锐艺术市集》、树美术馆的《第二届V时代青年当代艺术展》、上海LOFTOOO艺术空间的《场域》、北京Hi艺术中心的《新雕塑》及北京农展馆的《青年艺术100》；2015年参展日本朝仓文夫纪念馆的《第十二届日本亚洲大分国际雕塑展》及北京Hi艺术中心的第二届《新雕塑》。
ZHANG RUO (real name Zhang Qiang) was born in 1982 in Handan, Hebei Province, and graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Art and Design College of Hebei Normal University in 2006. In 2011 he founded Forest Studio in Beijing, and has been living in Berlin, Germany since 2017. His practice focuses on sculpture, and his works have been presented in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad, including: in 2010, the 2nd Animamix Biennial at Guangdong Museum of Art, the duo exhibition “Traverse” at Biao Gallery in Beijing’s 798 Art Zone, “Productivity: China in the Age of Reproduction” at White Box Museum of Art, and the 36th AJAC Overseas Artists Invitational Exhibition in Yokohama, Japan; in 2011, “Next Station: New Generation” at Modern Art Gallery in Taiwan and “At the Singularity” at Huantie Times Art Museum in Beijing; in 2012, “Niu Bi” at Schoeni Art Gallery in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong International Art Exhibition; in 2013, “Nothing Is Right, Nothing Is Wrong” at Huantie Times Art Museum in Beijing and “Shanghai Art Design Exhibition: Urban Aesthetics – Metaphysical and Physical” at Power Station of Art in Shanghai; in 2014, “2014 Hi21 Emerging Art Market” at Hi Art Center, “The 2nd V Era Youth Contemporary Art Exhibition” at Tree Art Museum, “Field” at LOFTOOO Art Space in Shanghai, “New Sculpture” at Hi Art Center in Beijing, and “Art Nova 100” at Beijing Agricultural Exhibition Center; and in 2015, “The 12th Japan Asia Oita International Sculpture Exhibition” at Asakura Fumio Memorial Museum in Japan and the 2nd “New Sculpture” at Hi Art Center in Beijing.
