简介Biography
周园（Zhou Yuan），1996年生于云南红河，2019年毕业于天津美术学院油画系，现居上海。他的作品常将艺术家工作中的状态直观地展现于观者面前。在周园看来，做艺术不是为了目的，而是为了意义；艺术家可以没有目的地画一幅画，但不能容忍创作一件没有意义的作品。当他寻找到一幅作品的意义时，也就是他完成这件作品的时候。
Zhou Yuan, born in 1996 in Honghe, Yunnan, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 2019, and currently lives in Shanghai. His works often intuitively reveal the artist’s state during the creative process to the viewer. In Zhou Yuan’s view, making art is not for a purpose but for meaning; an artist can paint a painting without a purpose, but cannot tolerate creating a work devoid of meaning. The moment he discovers the meaning of a work is precisely the moment he completes it.
