简介Biography
李慕华1995年出生于中国广东，曾先后就读于中央美术学院附中和英国格拉斯哥艺术学院，现工作生活于北京、深圳。其作品主要通过体察日常事物的微妙、对记忆中物证的反复审视以及对秩序感的迷恋构成。画面中消除任何多余的色彩及情绪，呈现出平静内敛的气息；简单的色块之间，明暗关系已足够表达事物组成的逻辑，而在克制的绘画语言中又蕴藏着细腻的温度，两种矛盾的特性无意间制造了疏离感。
Li Muhua was born in 1995 in Guangdong, China. He studied successively at the Affiliated High School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Glasgow School of Art in the UK, and currently lives and works in Beijing and Shenzhen. His works are primarily constituted through observing the subtleties of everyday things, the repeated examination of mementos in memory, and a fascination with a sense of order. In the picture plane, any superfluous colour and emotion are eliminated, revealing a calm and restrained aura; between simple blocks of colour, the relationship of light and shadow already suffices to express the logic by which things are composed, while within a restrained painterly language a delicate warmth resides. These two contradictory qualities inadvertently generate a sense of detachment.

Li Muhua’s representative work is _Untitled 16_ (2021, acrylic on canvas). His creative practice draws on abstraction, experimental approaches and expressive figuration, using media such as acrylic on canvas, mixed materials, collage and spray paint. Thematically his work revolves around abstract motifs, life, and memory and time. He builds his images from a close observation of subtle details in everyday objects, a repeated re‑examination of material traces in memory, and a fascination with order. The compositions strip away any superfluous colour or emotion, resulting in a calm and restrained atmosphere; within a sparse arrangement of colour blocks, the interplay of light and shadow alone is enough to articulate the logic of how things are assembled. Beneath this disciplined painterly language lies a delicate warmth, and the simultaneous presence of these two contradictory qualities unintentionally generates a sense of distance.
